I'm cycling from Newcastle to Edinburgh to raise awareness for the Princess Royal Maternity Ward Neonatal unit.

Some friends of mine Stevie and Becs Wood recently gave birth to Bethany Doreen Wood who you can see in the photo’s. Bethany was born on Tuesday 23/11/10, 10.49pm at Stirling Royal Infirmary. She weighed in at 880 grams (just under 2Llbs) and luckily had a fighting spirit! She was 25 weeks + 2 days old.

Bethany spent 16 weeks in hospital mainly in the Princess Royal Maternity Hospital Neonatal intensive care unit.

Any money you can spare will go to ensure that the unit is well equipped with all the resources and technology needed to ensure that babies are given the absolute best chance to survive and live a good life in the futrure.
Bethany is now growing but still faces many battles ahead .

Stevie and Becs are eternally grateful to the hospital and all its staff.

Please help if you can
