My church in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania has been active in sending teams to Haiti to help with the medical relief efforts and have a relationship with the charity Hope Health Action (HHA).  Being an avid backpacker and climber, I was approached to see if I would be interested in being the U.S. representative on the HHA team attempting the 3 Peaks Challenge this September.  In the past all of my hiking trips have pretty much been for me and I thought that the 3 Peaks Challenge would be a great opportunity to hike/climb for someone else so I gladly accepted the invitation to climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours which also includes travel time between sites.  For me living a healthy lifestyle is very important and I am blessed to live in a country where quality healthcare is available.  Unfortunately this is not the case in countries like Haiti so any help they can receive will be a step towards improving their living conditions.
