We carry out practical research to improve quality of life after paralysis

Story

From the 1st to the 15th of August we cycled from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for the Stoke Mandeville Spinal Foundation, a charity established to promote research to improve the quality of life of those with a spinal cord injury. The Foundation is based at the National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC) at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, birthplace of the Paralympic games in 1948 and one of the largest spinal injury clinics in the world.

This is a very personal cause for Tim, his aunt Lindsay has lived with a spinal cord injury since a young age and owes much of her quality of life to treatment received at the NSIC. Now working there as Patient Education Officer, Lindsay helps prepare patients for life with a spinal cord injury. You can learn more about the NCIS and the amazing work they do at their website: http://www.buckinghamshirehospitals.nhs.uk/spinal

So please donate as much as you can, this was an enormous undertaking for two less than athletic young men and is in aid of a fantastic cause.
