The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Having taken up cycling 2 years ago, I've decided to use my  passion to do some good and raise some awareness and funds for the Prince's Trust.

I have been fortunate enough to have had great support throughout my life and have relished taking up opportunities to learn and grow through school and education.  Not all are as lucky as me and the Prince's Trust is there to provide support for those that are struggling at school or are unemployed get back on track and give them the opportunities that they missed first time around.

This year, Wheels for Change is raising money for the Prince’s Trust, one of Barclays’ UK charity partners.

The Prince’s Trust specifically focuses on 13 to 30 year-olds who need our help the most, including those who struggle at school, are in or leaving care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law. We work with young people to help them get back into work, education and training.

Their programmes give young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives. They include engagement activities, progression support and peer mentoring. We also involve young people in the design and evaluation of programmes.

Barclays we want to help the next generation achieve their ambitions. Our 5 Million Young Futures goal is our commitment to do this and by working with organisations like the Prince’s Trust we are able to support the next generation, helping them to build stronger futures for themselves and their families.  This fundraising initiative will help to invest in the future.
