Thanks for logging onto my JustGiving page, let me tell you a little about what I’m hoping to do and why.

As Chief executive of Northumbria Healthcare, I’ve seen first-hand what a huge difference the projects funded by the charity have made to the experiences of our patients whether this be purchasing a new piece of equipment, creating fantastic facilities for patients’ families to stay overnight or turning our outdoor spaces into peaceful garden areas we can all enjoy.

I am often overwhelmed by the feedback I receive from patients and their families and in many cases it’s the extras we have funded with charity money that has made the difference.  This is what has motivated me to raise money for this great cause and to do this I’ve decided to do the Great North Swim again this year, at Lake Windermere, on 18 June 2011.
