Cavendish Cancer Care is a charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with cancer. No one should face cancer alone, so we provide emotional support through counselling and complementary therapies. Our services are provided free of charge and are funded through donations.

Story

For over a year I have been a member of an indoor rowing class at Nuffield Health (formerly Greens). This year we are raising money for Cavendish Cancer Care which is an independent charity giving free emotional support and complementary therapies to families affected by cancer in Yorkshire and Derbyshire.

We are simulating Jerome K Jerome's route from Oxford to Kingston upon Thames and the three men in our boat are me, Helen and Hilary - well H&H are honary men for duration of this journey!

The route is a total distance of 150Km and each of us will row for 50km - we are well on the way already and still having to avoid collisons with pre-occupied swans!

Just 10p a kilometre will help me to raise £5 for Cavendish Cancer Care
