Story

JAMES BRYCE IS STILL FOR THE HIGH JUMP! AGAIN!

For those of you who have been following this (and Scottish cloud movements over the last year),  the tandem parachute jump has been cancelled for the 7th time! I can now reveal that GODOT MUST LIVE NEAR STRATHALLAN AIRFIELD.

So, my traditional vertigo has now been replaced by  Zen-like calm coupled with a determination to do it before I am accompanied by a Zimmer.

The jump has been rescheduled for
- 19th AUGUST, 2012 at STRATHALLAN AIRFIELD (Off the B8062 above Auchterarder)  - I am to be strapped to a parachutist and will fling myself out of a plane with a plentiful supply of spare underpants.

That said, Strathallan have a week beginning on 6th August where they try to clear up the backlog, so surely this will be it!

I will be phoning for cancellations most weekends till I bludgeon destiny into flinging me out the plane. I will keep you posted.

I am paying for the cost of the jump, but  I am using this experience as a way to raise funds for the charity ROKPA, specifically for the education of Tibetan orphans.
A friend has been in Tibet many times, working for this organisation, and I am aware of the great work it does.

So......... in anticipation of my return to Earth, I am asking you to donate anything – no matter how small - to Rokpa via this "just giving" site. If you have already given, my thanks. Please tell your friends.

Further details on the education projects can be found in the attached pdf and on Rokpa in general at http://www.rokpa.org/
