Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
5 years ago at the grand old age of 33 I was diagnosed with 2 idependent cancers.
Unfortunately one of the cancers was very rare and had no treatment options other than experimental surgury and a long stay in hospital.
Thankfully, through the support of my partner, family and friends, I have fluked out almost 5 years; on and off chemo.
The advancement of our understand of genetics makes the next 10 years a golden period for cancer treatment and anything we can do to fund the continuing efforts in this area can only be a good thing.
I will be attempting to beat my previous record at Vmax, the premier top speed event in the country:
http://www.vmax200.com/about.php
My previous record was 206 mph and I will be personally donating £5 per mph achieved: Conditions play a big part and mechanicals have been known to end play early. If such a situation occurs I will find the fastest car someone is willing to offer a pasenger ride in and use that as my speed for the day (assuming no drag/F1/jet cars) turn up!
I hope the money raised will make the lives of the many people affected by cancer, just that bit easier.
