Thank you for coming to my JustGiving page.

Last year one of our fearless leaders at Jing Advanced Massage Training, Meghan Mari, in a moment of madness, convinced a few of us Jing-Stars to sign up for the Worthing half marathon. We all agreed and what promptly followed has been several weeks of serious training and effort - we took it very seriously, very quickly.

Not only is this a great way for us all to get fit and test our resolve, it's great to be working as a team towards an end goal that doesn't involve copious amounts of alcohol... 

As you might have noticed, race day is Valentine's Day, and we wracked our brains for a local charity that embraced relationships and spreads the love (we're big on love here at Jing).

We settled on Enhance the UK, a Brighton based charity that aims to educate people of all ages about disability as well as assisting those with a disability in playing a full and active role in society.

As well as encouraging stereotypes about disability to be broken across workplaces, schools and communities, Enhance strive to break down the taboo around sex and disability. The topic of physical relationships is often overlooked or rushed over when people struggle to see past the disability rather than the emotional person inside. Everyone, no matter how their body works, deserves to find love and deserves companionship; if able bodied people have questions about sex, why is a disabled person any different?! Enhance tackle these issues in a candid and open way, with an open forum and projects across the UK.
