Walk The Extra Mile · 4 July 2010

Diabetes UK is the charity leading the fight against the UK's devastating and fastest growing health crisis, working to create a world where diabetes can do no harm. It’s a fight that involves all of us – sharing knowledge and taking diabetes on together. Join us.

Story

Our 6 year old son Max was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.  In the five weeks since Max has been diagnosed he has already endured over 240 finger pricks, over 140 injections and a week in hospital.  All with a smile on his beautiful face.

Max is doing a 2.5 mile walk at Colwick Park, Nottingham on 4th July 2010 to help raise money for Diabetes UK.  Diabetes UK is the leading charity working for people with diabetes, funding research and helping people live with the condition. Its mission is to improve the lives of people with diabetes and to work towards a future without diabetes.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving.  Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Please help us to help Diabetes UK, dig deep and donate now.  No amount is too small.

Thank you
