Story
I always said I wouldn't do it, that I'd never be mad enough to do a full marathon.......well here I am! On 21st April I will be running the Virgin London Marathon 2013, all 26.2 miles of it (gulp!).
I'll be raising money for the Children's Trust, Tadworth, an amazing charity that provides care, education, therapy and rehabilitation to children with multiple disabilities, complex health needs and acquired brain injury.
I'm running with one particular special boy in mind. Michael was a pupil in my mum's primary school class, in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. Due to complications during a routine operation, Michael was left with severe brain damage. He now lives at the Children's Trust residential centre in Tadworth and receives expert care, as well as support for the whole family, from the team based there. All the money I raise will go towards helping other children like Michael and their families deal with the difficulties of acquired brain injuries.
