I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last October having already had two keyhole operations.  A CT scan followed after which, in November last year I had a full hysterectomy, appendicectomy and omentectomy to remove the cancer.  This has left me with a 7 inch vertical scar from just above my belly button downwards but they're hoping they have got it all.  Since my recovery from my operation I have undergone 5 months of chemotherapy due to finish at the end of March.  I then have to have another CT scan followed by results.  I won't be able to do the 10K in my best time as it won't be long after chemo has finished but I am determined to complete it as a personal challenge and to raise some money for a worthy cause.  My husband Matt is running in it also for the same cause.
