Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

About a year ago, the longest I'd ever run was around 5km so you may be surprised to know that along with some friends I decided to set myself a challenge - to run a half marathon(!)

The time to complete this challenge has now come and I will be running the Sony Ericsson "Run to the Beat" half marathon (http://www.runtothebeat.co.uk/) around Greenwich on Sunday 27th September.

As well as running for a personal challenge, I will be raising money for Compassion, a Christian organisation which helps being children out of poverty in 25 of the world's poorest countries through child sponsorship programmes. The money I raise will help children who are waiting to be sponsored by providing funds for emergency medical treatment for a critically ill child as well as covering the cost for whatever is most needed at the time. With your financial support, they will be able to help children break out of their life of poverty and give them a chance to enjoy their childhood. To find out more about the good work that Compassion does, please visit their website: http://www.compassionuk.org.

Thanks so much for any donation you are able to make
