On marathon day it will be exactly 3 years ago to the day that my dad lost his battle with cancer. So I would like to run in his memory and raise money for Maggie's to make sure that people with cancer get the support they need when they need it most, and no one faces a terminal cancer diagnosis alone. 

Running a marathon will be the hardest challenge I will have ever undertaken, the training schedule is gruelling and the idea of running 26.2 miles and for 6+hours (because that is how long it is going to take me!) seems truly a mission impossible . It seems rather crazy after spending years at school coming up with millions of excuses to get out of cross country runs to find myself volunteering to do this. To say I am utterly petrified is an understatement and I am seriously worried I may chicken out, so to try and stop that happening I have realised I need to start actually telling people I am doing this and hopefully if some of you are kind enough to sponsor me then I will feel far too guilty to let you all down and pull out!
