This summer I am fortunate enough to be given a place on Handicap Internationals Inclusion Rwanda project . This amazing experience will involve me working alongside Rwandan teachers to suppot them with including children with special needs in their schools. I am funding the cost of the trip myself and am taking with me loads of educational resources that generous friends and collagues have made and donated. But I also want to raise money to give to Handercap International to continue supporting the schools after I have left.This project ran last year and  I will be based in a town called Kigali and get to meet the children in the photos. Anything you donate will have a direct impact on these children.

An added complciation for the teachers in Rwanda just now is that next year they will no longer be able to teach in French but will need to teach in English, this means many existing resources will need to be replaced and this is placing a great strain on the schools and teachers.

 During the time I am there i will have the opportunity to meet with people who survived the genocide and talk to them about how they are rebuilding their lives and communities. The work of Handercap International is central to that.
