Mt Kilimanjaro · 1 September 2012

Footsteps transforms the lives of orphans and street children…and much more. Managed by Christians, Footsteps works with trusted partners in Kenya where we run the Sunshine Centre for street boys, Tumaini Children’s Home, and and provide skills training, school fees and school lunch programmes.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was so excited about climbing Mt Kilimanjaro - it was a huge personal challenge and a great opportunity to raise money for a great cause. We (my dad, my uncle and I) climbed up the Rongai route, up to the summit at 5,895m and down the Marangu route, over the course of 6 days in September.

After the climb we visited some of Footsteps International's projects, including the Sunshine Rehabilitation Centre for street children in Naivasha, and some of the schools with which they are involved in Nairobi's slums, to see where money raised goes.

All money raised will go directly to Footsteps International.
