Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Well.. we did it. For words and pictures have a look at the blog on my website.

A group of us will be doing a sponsored Fire Walk over hot coals to raise money for Lineham Farm. The event is organised by the lovely people at Blaze Firewalking and please don't try this at home!

Kids from schools all over Leeds come to Lineham Farm and stay for a week of fun, frolics and discovery. You name it, they do it - from climbing the high-ropes course and night walks, to orienteering and mini beast discovery, mountain biking and organic gardening, to heart start - Lineham's very own first aid course, to the Friday morning Team Challenges.  You can rest assured that all the children leave the farm thoroughly content, happy and maybe just a little tired!

Lineham Farm is a really special place. As a registered charity, sponsorships and donations are our lifeblood. We want to keep giving our local disabled & deserving children these great experiences.

However, farmyard fun, frolics and adventures come at a cost. And this year we need to raise over a whopping £100,000. Our laundry bills alone are £2000! (The kids do love their mud.) Our heating bills are £8,000 (the kids need to wash that mud off). And – deep breath – £80,000 to refurbish our toilets.

We also need:

   1.  new duvet covers & curtains

   2.  new loos and showers

   3.  a new climbing wall

   4.  hand driers for the (old) loos

   5.  decorations for the new musical garden
