As most of you are aware, we have both been closely touched by The Christie in our lives and feel very strongly about this wonderful charity.

As a member of the Sale and Altrincham fundraising committee, Jo has been fundraising for The Christie off and on for nearly 20 years, organising and participating in many different events. Dave too has been the driving force behind many fundraising endeavours....indeed it is through our love of organising and our support of The Christie that we met! We were so delighted at the outcome of last years' Cabaret event in which a formidable group of us raised over £7,000 for this wonderful charity that we want to keep up the good work.

SO.....we are participating in the Manchester BUPA 10K and hoping that people would like to sponsor us in our run. I say RUN as we both fully intend to run the whole distance which will admittedly be somewhat easier for Dave than for Jo - but Jo is determined! Of course, any support will be gratefully received and help to spur Jo on in moments of weakness. We are aiming to run it together in under an hour....we'll let you know how that goes! Training has started....but Jo prefers baking cakes on a Sunday morning when Dave is out running in temps of zero degrees and a biting wind! :-).
