Thank you for taking the time to read my JustGiving page.

As you will all know, this type of challenge is completely out of character for me, and a lot of you may think i'm crazy for taking it on... but i'm doing it to raise money for a charity which is so close to my heart, that it deserves for me to give it my all!!

As you may or may not be aware, in November last year our precious little son Dylan was unfortunately taken ill with bronchiolitis and a chest infection.  He was trying his hardest to fight his infections in Redditch hospital, but at only 3 weeks old, he was too small to be able to do this on his own.  He was taken to the intensive care ward in Stoke Hospital where he was put on life support and given 24 hour care.  After 5 long days, we were able to take our little fighter back to Redditch where he finished his incredible recovery and he was finally ready to come home.

I cant express enough in words how amazing all the staff were in the PICU!! They went above and beyond all of our expectations with how caring, tentative, and thoughtful they were from making sure he was getting better to keeping him comfortable, clean, and ensuring he was showered with affection and love!  Not only did they get Dylan better, but they also gave me and my husband the support that we needed to be positive and strong for Dylan in the most horrific of circumstances, which was vital for his recovery.  You can tell that they see it as much more than just a job, and they really do care about the patients and families that they take care of.

We owe so much to all the staff in the PICU, as without them, we may not have our beautiful Dylan with us today.  This is just a small way for me to say thank you and hopefully raise some money to make sure that the Unit is funded, and the care that they provide can carry on for other little babies and families who need that extra bit of help in getting better.
