Hello Everyone!

Six months ago a good friend was given the news every parent fears, one of their girls had been diagnosed with Childhood leaukemia! Since then we have watched as Vega has undergone treatment after treatment and I am constantly amazed at the courage and strengh shown by the whole family as they battle to beat this disease, I laugh and cry at the highs and lows and feel sad that there isn't much I can do to help day to day. The one thing I can do is help to raise money to stamp out all forms of Cancer by walking a half Marathon around the streets of London at night! This time I have chosen childrens cancer.

Today around three-quarters of children with cancer are successfully treated. In the 1960s it was just a quarter. Cancer Research UK's many successful clinical trials on children’s cancer have helped to transform the outlook for these children and their families. But around 300 children a year still lose their lives to the disease, so their groundbreaking work has to continue.
