1 in 100 people have coeliac disease, yet only 36% are diagnosed. Coeliac UK empowers everyone affected, breaking down barriers, improving everyday life, offering trusted support and advancing research towards a cure. And we do it all so that one day, no one’s life will be limited by gluten.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am doing a 26 mile walk in June to raise money for Coeliac UK.

In 2011 our 3 year old daughter Mollie was diagnosed with Coeliac disease - an autoimmune disease which means that if she eats gluten, it damages the lining of the small intestine. This is lifelong disease that can only be managed through diet.

Before diagnosis she was sick and tired all of the time, she also had delayed growth and constant tummy pains. She couldn't enjoy the 'normal' life of a toddler.

With the help and support of Coeliac UK, the transition to her new diet and lifestyle has been made so much easier. They are a constant source of support and help. The more people that can be made aware of this disease means a more 'normal' way of life for people who suffer from this illness.

Any donation would be gratefully received! THANKYOU!!!!
