My father in Law Mr G was shown such respect and support throughout his time at Cynthia Spencer. One thing he always appreciated, was to be treated like the proud, strong, independent man he was, not just another patient. 

Each time we were with him, we were made to feel welcome, the staff really got to know us as a family. Nothing was ever to much trouble, they involved the grandchildren, the dogs and allowed Ray to just be himself. 

Cancer is a cruel disease, that holds no prejudiced. The staff at Cynthia Spencer made this time which can only be described as heart breaking, some what easier. 

Within the Hospice, staff deal with families from all walks of life, they ensure that each person is treated just the way they always have been, with respect, dignity and continue to do so towards the end of life. Working with loss each day and still returning to work ready to face it all again, shows what incredible work they do. 

We never know if we may require the loving care of the hospice such as this, which is why by Jumping out of a plane and trying to raise money for them can enable them to keep up the tremendous work they do is my way of saying Thank you.

I know i could just do nothing and raise money for them but one thing i have learnt is that life is for living, for trying new experiences and saying yes to things we are afraid of. Should Me or my family ever need to be at the Hospice again, i want to think to myself, I lived, i helped and be comfortable in the fact I've supported these fabulous unsung heroes.
