So I am cycling to Paris exactly a month today. Eak!
As most of you know cycling has become a recent hobby of mine. I have now traded Nan's old shopper bike for my rather smart Bianchi racing bike with carbon forks...
OoOoOo I hear you say but I am only used to doing a couple of laps of Richmond Park at the weekend (7 miles per lap) so the thought of cycling 100 miles a day for 4 days is pretty daunting at this stage!
I am riding to Paris to support Caravan which is the charity for the grocery industry. Caravan helps people all over the UK who have worked, or are working, in all areas of the grocery industry and have now found that they need some extra support to get by.
I do genuinely enjoy physical challenges, HOWEVER I am scared that my little legs might not last 4 days of cycling so it would be really motivating for me if I can cycle with the knowledge that my friends and family are supporting me and that my efforts won't be for nothing.
Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks very much in advance, and I will update you all soon! (with more sexy pics don't you worry!)
