Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Those that know me know that unfortunately I have had to experience ward 35 (special care) at the RVI with the birth of my eldest daughter in 2005 and my son in 2011.
My eldest daughter was born unable to breathe for herself and was transferred straight to the special care unit on the red ward (Intensive Care) before I even had the chance to give her a cuddle with the question of survival unknown for 48 hours.
My son Liam was born with difficulty breathing and had to be transferred to the Red ward also where his right lung collapsed and a procedure carried out in the incubator.
The support, compassion and work that all the staff give is unbelievable.
They work constantly while still managing to find time to give compassion/support to families and with me even found time to get me a cup of coffee and tissues to wipe the tears away when my son's lung collapsed with the question of whether he would live or die for 72 hours.
As a thank you in my way I am running the great north run and trying to raise as much as possible so please donate.
