My son Oliver has a complex heart condition and has had several successful procedures carried out at the children's cardiac unit in Southampton.  He is now 11 and doing well.  I have decided to join a number of heart parents in the 5K Big Fun Run on Southampton Common  to get fitter but also raise money for a good cause.

Many children have to stay on the unit for long periods of time meaning families and patients experience extreme hardship both emotionally and financially.  Families of Ocean Ward was set up to make stays in hospital easier by providing equipment on the ward and at home, grants for those in financial need and so on.

So please dig deep and help me reach my target of £100.
