As most of you will be aware, my beautiful best friend Joanna Hoadley was diagnosed with cervical cancer last year. After undergoing a major operation, thankfully she was informed that the cancer had not spread and that the surgeons had successfully removed the tumour, which was the most fantastic news. Joanna has tackled her illness with the most amazing strength and poise, and in doing so, has helped everyone around her deal with it in a positive way.  As a precautionary measure, Joanna is now having to go through a course of Radio and Chemo therapy, but is still remarkably strong and positive.

Joanna, you truly are the most amazing person I know. You are so special to me, and I love you dearly.

So, I’ve been called crazy and mad, but this is me trying to just give a little bit back to Macmillan, who have offered support to Joanna, her husband Martyn, and their families through this extremely difficult time.
