Wallace & Gromit's Children's Charity is the only charity helping children in local hospitals and hospices across the UK. We provide comfort, state of the art medical equipment, family accommodation and facilities, and art, music and play therapy to hundreds of thousands of sick children.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 6th September (just over a week to go) I'm running the Bristol Half Marathon.  I've chosen to run for Wallace & Gromit's Children's Foundation, not because I have an unhealthy fascination with claymation characters, but because they do great work raising money to make hospital stays for children and their families less frightening and more comfortable.  They kit out stay-over rooms, provide the kids and siblings with toys and games whilst they are in the hospitals.  When they launched the charity they raised enough money to build Bristol's Childrens hospital, and they now provide national support to hospitals and hospices.   My brothers little boy is in and out of hospital and I know it's those extras that make things a bit more bearable.

If you do fancy pledging a couple of pounds, or pennies - then of course these will be matched £4£ so every penny counts.  Using this site, means your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Cheers
