Thank you very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So why am I raising money for Prostate Cancer? Well prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. 37,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. Prostate cancer can be slow growing or can be the aggressive fast spreading type.

My dad unfortunately had the very aggressive fast growing type of prostate cancer which meant that by the time he had started to suffer symptoms of the disease it had already spread beyond any successful treatment. He died in 1991 aged just 48 years.

A donation to Prostate Cancer will help support research into the disease and go towards helping improve the lives of 250,000 men currently living with the disease. It will also help the charity to raise awareness and gain further support to battle this type of cancer.

So what am I doing to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK???................Well I have been fortunate enough to have been given a charity place in this years London Marathon on 17th April. I have pledged to raise a minimum of £2000........and yeap I'm terrified as I've never run a Mararthon before ..... I'm up to 14-15 miles and the training is really tough going. So any donation to prostate cancer will really make my 6am early morning training sessions worth while!!!!!
