Story
This charity is very close to my heart, i am running for myself, all my friends and my sister. So many people take their hearing for advantage, imagine if you woke up and couldnt hear anything, not the birds sing, music and other people chatting.
Being deaf doesnt make people stupid, dumb or silly, everyone should be proud of who they are, and by raising awareness other's may finally see that we are the same as everyone else.
Action for hearing loss provides:
We provide day-to-day care for people who are deaf and have additional needs.
We supply communication services and training.
We offer practical advice to help people protect their hearing.
We campaign to change public policy around hearing loss issues.
Perhaps the most important thing they do is provide children with confidence, enabling them to achieve their dreams and not letting their hearing affect their choices in life.
I want to say thank you to all those who have contributed. It means so much, and helps soo many. Not every one has been as lucky as me and my sister and i want to make sure that others have the same chances as me.
We support research into an eventual cure for hearing loss and tinnitus. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
