Story

Hello!

I am running the Royal Parks half marathon on Sunday 11th October.  I have decided to raise money for the WSPA, an animal charity I have been supporting for a while now. The WSPA is helping to rescue animals across the world that are living in horrific conditions or are endangered. Current campaigns include to rescue bears being used in bear baiting: these poor bears are set upon by dogs, having had their teeth pulled out and their claws clipped so they have no real way to defend themselves,  and to rescue and care for the endangered orangutan, a huge task as the adults are considered pests and killed and the young are captured and sold as pets. If you'd like to donate to this excellent charity, please do so here. If not for the run itself, then for the fact that I then have about 90 mins to get home, shower and get to the airport straight afterwards, probably a harder feat than the half marathon!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
