Story

WHY AM I DOING THIS?! For some strange reason I have always wanted to do the Marathon, at least just once to say ive done it. However i have never ran more than 7 miles in one go!

My cousin Gemma has Cerebral Palsy, she can walk but not very far. Over the years she has been teased, and refused jobs because people hear her speak and think she is stupid, her speech is slow & slurred and her body movements are slow. Gemma is one of the most lovely people i know and is very ambitious. Despite all this she always remains bubbly and positive.

Cerebral Palsy is a disability caused by damage to the brain, it disturbs the central nervous system and can affect a child physically, visually, auditory and cause them to have learning difficulties. The most common attribute is difficulty moving. For example its almost impossible to stop themselves falling if they lose their balance.

Please make a donation; if anything to laugh at the pictures of me dying (or my feet bleeding!) as i cross the finish line
