Story
So..... I only went and did it and climbed my way all the way to the very top of Mount Kilimanjaro! It was such an amazing experience, the photographs don't do it justice! Summit night was very emotional and the feeling when I saw the sign; its indescribable. The group of people I travelled with are such an amazing bunch, they made the week a fun and exciting one, even when we were tired. Massive thanks to my tent buddy PJ, she kept me in check and was there for me every step.
Thanks so much to all of those who have donated, I am so very close to reaching my target and I hope in the next few weeks I will get there :) xxxxxxx
I know many people have been touched by the amazing work of Weston Hospicecare and I hope to make a difference for them.
I have been training, running as well as long walks over the Mendips. I also took part in the Hospices Mendip Challenge 20 mile walk as part of my training. I leave on the 21st June and summit day is the 27th June- so as you wake hopefully I will be at the top in -26c doing my victory dance (if I have any energy left!)
I would like to thank my family; Mum, Dad Chris as well as my best friends Emily, Claudia and Natalie. They have supported all my events and continue to encourage me and give me the positive vibes to get to the summit!
Also a big thank you to you... if your reading this it means your about to doante, or you have done. So thank you thank you thanks you.
