Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This page has two reasons, I want to both raise money for a worthy cause and also to keep me motivated and accountable. I've been trying to lose weight now for just under a month and have so far lost 12lb, I need to lose a further 56lb to get down to my target weight of 14st 2lb by the end of July.

Let me explain further, the charity I am raising money for is the PCOS charity, Verity. They work with women living with polycistic ovarian syndrome. This condition can have little effect or massive effects. It can cause infertility, Endometrial cancer, type 2 diabetes, insulin resistency and heart disease, not to mention the daily symptoms people have to deal with like depression and mood instability, abdominal pain, hyperglycemia, weight gain and skin problems.

I was diagnosed with PCOS 5 years ago and have steadily gained weight ever since and enough is enough. Trying to lose weight is always going to be difficult for anyone but add in a body that is fighting against you and you have a recipe for fun! So in the spirit of a challenge I'm trying to lose weight, get down to a healthy weight and hopefully, the long term plan is to start a family.

I'm following weight watchers and always looking for diet buddies who want to join me and keep each other motivated.

I'm asking everyone to donate 2p (more if you want!) per pound so when I reach my goal weight it will be a total of £1.12, can you help me?
