2010 Challenge:
3 Peaks 24 Hours Challenge
This year half of the money raised will be going to help kids in the poverty stricken country of Zimbabwe.
This challenge will be climbed during the periode 2-3 July, starting at Ben Nevis just before the Scottish school holidays, and ending at Snowdon on the 3 July. I'm hoping to make this an annual event.
This is due to the Institude for fundraising has ban the 3 Peaks to take place during the months of July- mid September. Please refer to the comments made by fundraisers about this, at http://www.thirdsector.co.uk/channels/Fundraising/EmailThisArticle/997608/Institute-Fundraising-bans-Three-Peaks-events-during-school-holidays/

To feed the hungry we know that we need to teach the hungry to catch a fish, and not just give a fish.
But where does the money come from to buy the fishing rod and hooks?
During a conversation I had with Charl Olivier, it became clear to me that I can do more than just being a volunteer, but to actually being active in raising money for ODAAT. This could be done through doing challenges each year with the graduates from the ODAAT program. Doing these challenges will push us all to our limits.
ODAAT is a Drug and Alcohol rehabilitation program that forms part of HOPE Worldwide UK, in London. When the money has been donated to HOPE Worldwide UK, it will then be passed on to ODAAT according to the donation records shown on Justgiving.
I’ve been a volunteer at ODAAT since October 2008, and formed friendships with the guys. The guys have taught me so much, not only the unseen need on our streets, but also humility, honesty and to be aware of our every day walk with God. The importance of being with like-minded people.
Hopefully in the near future, I can take what I’ve learned at ODAAT in and take the program to , implementing it on a self sufficient and eco-friendly farm, in the area.
