2010 Bupa Great Manchester Run · 16 May 2010 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This will be the 6th year that we have run the Manchester 10k and once again we will be running for Leaukamia Research in memory of Lianne.

Hannah and Becky will be running in the junior run and will be aiming to beat last years times. Remember girls no pushing and don’t forget to smile, as the cameras will be on you!

The following day sees regulars Joe, Kirsty and Kevin together with Rachel and Gary Jones (two welcome additions to the team) compete with 35,000 others in the 10k. At least I won’t be last as that guy in the rhino costume ain’t as fast as me.

To date, thanks to all your generous donations, we have raised nearly £3,500 over the years.

Unfortunately, Dave (Holland), Sarah (France) and Ryon (enlisted to the army) seem to have come up with reasonable excuses for not participating although they will be fundraising.

Hopefully this year, I won’t have to wear a fancy dress costume (see last years pictures – it’s a bumble bee if you were guessing) provided the knee holds up! If we do me and Kevin are going as Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dee so a striped jumper would be helpful (no padding required).

Finally, I would like to thank you all for your tremendous support and generosity over the years and if you can come along on the 16th give us a shout of encouragement.

Joe and the team.
