Story
Hi everyone.
In case you don't already know, myself and three others have just completed a coast-to-coast mountain-bike ride to raise money for the Derbyshire Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance - a brilliant charity that me and some friends recently had to rely on to rescue a friend after he had a biking accident in the peak district.
Our trip started at St Bees head on the West Coast and we cycled 185 miles over four days to reach Robin Hood Bay on the East Coast. The route we cycled was a variation on Wainwright's famous coast-to-coast walk and we tried to stay off road as much as possible - which sometimes meant lugging our bikes up hills in the Lakes on our backs - but we made it in the end and it was a fun and a very successful trip.
It would be fantastic if you felt able to make a donation to the air ambulance so that they can continue their brilliant work - they rely totally on donations and it costs thousands of pounds a day to run the service.
