At The Arthrogryposis Group we are able to offer local level support to people living with Arthrogryposis Muliplex Congenita (AMC) or one of the 200 related conditions. We provide regular information and updates on care and treatment, and through our events we give excellent opportunities to meet others with arthrogryposis, their families and anyone involved in their care.

I think I am over half way and feeling good been really busy so no time think about gaming. But still roll on 7 April

Day 9; it deen a while but still holding off from playing games, whats helping a the minute is i am planning my evenings so i don't have time to think about gaming like today I said to myself that I would update my page on there. yesterday I said i'll watch the England game then had a early night. It's not feeling to to hard at the minute but there is still 37 days.

Updated on Feb 26th 2012 at 11:49 PM from the JustGiving API

Day 5; I have reached the half way to target amount tonight thanks to a friend on x-box live jedspanner or Sam

Updated on Feb 23rd 2012 at 10:57 PM from the JustGiving API

Day 2; feeling a little weird, this would the time I do my turns on poker pals iOS or other turn base games.

Updated on Feb 22nd 2012 at 12:37 AM from the JustGiving API

I have started and now counting down the days

Updated on Feb 17th 2012 at 9:08 PM from the JustGiving API

5 nights of gaming left, feeling a bit weird at the moment.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A little about me and why I am doing this challenge;

I am a 30 year old man and near on every night (unless on holiday or have died!) I play on my X-Box 360 or any time I get free if I'm not changing nappies, working or pretending to listen to the wife I will have a controller in my hands. If I can't get to the X-box I will be on my iPhone tapping on birds with anger managerment issues or playing poker with pals.

write up still in process [got 5 minutes to play on the x-box].

Back....

I am raising the money for TAG (The Arthrogryposis Group) because my wife and both my childern were born with this condition. Their condition is mild and if you met them in the street you would not know they had it. For the last 25 years my wife and her family have received a lot of support from TAG and we have also received support since the birth of our oldest child. This charity does so much more for children and adults that are affected by the condition more than my children. If you would like more infomation click on the link to their website here.

I think on average I play games 3-5 hours a day and thought to myself that I could raise money by playing 24hr of video games but none of my family would sponsour me!! My brother said he would give money for me not to play games for 24hrs as a joke. I thought about it long and hard and remembered a guy on a podcast I listen to giving up gaming for Lent.

Lent is 46 days from 22 Fedarury to 7th April and this spreads over my brithday which I usually take off and go out or stay home and play games. Also a big release game (Mass Effect 3) comes out that I've been waiting for since I finished Mass Effect 2.

Whilst in the process of doing this challange I won't be sitting rocking in the corner throwing daggers with my eyes at my X-Box (hopefully!!) or having a long holiday!! I have set sub goals to do in between: 1 big one is to loose weight, obviously I can't use the Kinect to achieve this so I am planning on going to the gym whenever I can.

Other goals are to finish books I have started and not finished and to return to a previous passion - art. I used to be a keen artist and achieved high grades in GCSE Art but it got left behind with the introduction of work and gaming. So I am planning an art piece.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you will show your support with a donation.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

12/02/12, 10 days to go for the the funraising begins (fun for who?) i though i put out the rules of my challenge starts.

First of all I am giving up Video gaming but not boardgaming. I highlighted VIDEO gaming because I will still be on the x-box because this is my sole DVD player and I can also watch Netflicks through it, and i if i want to torture myself I will join party chat with friends as they play games.

Video games is the whole thing X-box 360, iPhone gaming, Mac/PC gaming (and if i did) Facebook gaming.

I will start it on 00:01 22nd Fedruary until 00:00 7th April I plan to play all day on the 21nd Fedruary up until the cut off point. and also we have plan to go away the week after I finish so if we go away before the challenge ends I could be doing a week longer.

Hoping to get some pictures up and maybe some video.
