<p><em>Hey if you're on this page then hopefully you're about to sponsor me for the Great Manchester Run. The money will be going to the Samaritans which in my eyes is a helpline for if someone needs a person to talk to. They're there to listen for if you need a rant or if you feel you have no one else to talk to. It's completely confidential and no one will laugh at you or your issues. It's also open 24 hours a day so whatever time you need someone, there will be a person on the other end of the phone for you. </em></p> <p><em>Another great thing about the Samaritans is that they're not just a phone call away. They offer support through email, text and letters as well as face-to-face and over the phone. </em></p> <p><em>Through the process of the GMR I not only hope to raise a decent amount of money for the Hull branch of Samaritans to help keep their services available but I really want to raise awareness of its existence. If just one person notices what I'm doing and contacts the Samaritans for help then I know that what I've done will be worth it. </em></p> <p><em>Even if you just donate a pound or two, it's providing the Hull branch of Samaritans more funding to keep helping people which I think is a pretty awesome thing to know you've contributed to.
