Fritton Lake Olympic Triathlon 12 June 2011

Joglaresa aim to be the fittest medieval band in the UK (!), and they competed with with jazz/funk/reggae musicians Tom Hewins, Simon da Silva and Phil Harper.

JimBelinda and Tom did the entire race (1 mile swim, 25 mile bike ride, 6 mile run). Jorge, Jean, Tim, Simon and Phil did it as a relay.

We all got safely round the course - jazzer Tom Hewins won the solo race, and the medievalists won the relay. WE ARE STILL TAKING SPONSORSHIP........

Mind campaigns vigorously to create a society that promotes and protects good mental health for all - a society where people with experience of mental distress are treated fairly, positively and with respect.

1 in 4 people suffer a mental illness at some point in their lives.  By sponsoring us to do this triathlon you are helping Mind to:

Change society: Mind influences and changes public attitudes and government policy and practice towards people with mental distress.

Provide support: Mind helps people to take control over their mental health. We do this to make it possible for people who experience mental distress to live full lives, and play their full part in society.

Give people a voice: The needs and experiences of people with mental distress drive our work and we make sure their voice is heard. We will champion the right of people with direct experience of mental distress to have a voice and be heard.

Create mentally healthy communities: Mind works with the local Mind association network and other partners to improve the delivery of services for people experiencing mental distress.

Any support you can give, whether it's a fat donation or some simple words of encouragement will be most gratefully received.

Thanks!
