My story

Why Practical Action (ITDG)?

John supported this charity because it works to provide appropriate  technology (i.e. can be maintained and repaired by local people) to  relieve poverty and poor living conditions in third world countries.

When my brother Peter was working for ITDG in Sudan developing his river current turbine, John built a data logger for Peter's river current speed meter, and John also helped Peter test a prototype turbine in Osney lock one cold winter weekend.

Additionally, 'Practical Action' perfectly expresses John's way of helping others his whole life'

With many thanks for your donation in memory of John.

All best wishes

Elspeth
