This is my first sponsored run - I must be mad at my age but having spent six months getting fit again I want to try to put it to good use and any support you can give me is really appreciated.

With a week to go I thought that a quick training update would let you know that I am not slacking and moving closer to my objective of completing the Tidworth 10k in less than 60 minutes.I have been training and running as much as possible work allowing including doing 2 and half miles on a treadmill in a hotel Gym at 06.45! Completely unheard of I can assure you!
I have done at least one 10k run every weekend and have just come in from one this afternoon (Saturday). The time was 60 minutes and 30 seconds – so still tantilisingly just outside the target time. Sunday brought a 5 miler just to keep the legs working!So far we have raised together over £1000 for the Caring for Kids Campaign and with your help I hope to reach the £2000 target figure which would be a collective achievement for a really worthwhile cause - The Caring 4 Kids Campaign - which aims to provide additional equipment and facilities within the planned new Children's Unit at Salisbury District Hospital
