I am writing to say tomorrow I will be taking part in the DW canoe race which is 125 miles of paddling and we hope to do it in 24 hours; i will be raising money for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund. If you can please give the price of a pint or pass my just giving page onto everyone you know so that we can raise as much money as possible. 

Just finished todays paddle 20.5 miles in under 4 hours.

Oof training hoping that there will be no swimming and no rain.

I have decided to take part in the DW Race; for those of you who don't know what this is, its a 125 Mile canoe race with 77 Portages (a portage is were you stop get out of the water and run with your boat and all your kit then re-enter the water and carry on) this works out to a portage every 1.6 miles!

I first found out about the race when a friend of mine Mike Crankshaw asked if i would be intrested in being the other man in the boat for his fourth time doing the DW. I said yes then found out what i was geting myself in for, another time where my "it can't be that hard" attitude has let me take on another Challange. 

The two of us will be doing this Race in one go and trying to finish in 24 hours or under.
