Story

Hello to all and thanks for taking the time to visit my webpage.

My lovely little niece Annie was born prematurely at 24 weeks on the 29th September 2008 weighing only 1lb 7oz. Because of the premature birth Annie was left with a condition called PVL (similar to Cerebral Palsy) which effects her motor control and communication skills.

Annie needs specialist care and attends The Pace Centre weekly. The Pace Centre is a Charity who provide children like Annie through Conductive Education the opportunity to "Walk their own Steps" and find their "Own Voice"

It is very important for children like Annie and their parents that Pace continues with the great work that they do in order to help all the children live life to the fullest.

My sister Eileen (Annie's mum) told me that Pace intended to do a sponsored cycle from Pace in Aylesbury to Rann-na-Feirste, Co.Donegal on the North West coast of Ireland (My Hometown) 400 miles over 4 days via Liverpool-Belfast starting on the 14th September. An opportunity not to be missed or so I thought ! Madeleine (my wife) and daughter Claire clubbed together and bought me a bike and training is going well apart from the sore bum and knees and back and shoulders, get the picture ! Anytime I need any motivation, just look at Pace's website.www.thepacecentre.org

So please dig deep and sponsor me on the Donegal bike ride, as you can see it is a worthwhile cause to raise as much money as possible for such an important charity.

Many thanks for your help.

John.
