With a new blood cancer diagnosis every 27 seconds worldwide, Cure Leukaemia funds research nurses at UK blood cancer centres, giving patients access to treatments through clinical trials. This support drives global significant advancements in blood cancer, impacting those affected by the disease.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’m taking part in a London to Paris bike ride on 18th-22nd June along with 19 work colleagues and more than 200 others. We will be cycling the 500km over 4 days and we hope to raise as much money as possible for Cure Leukaemia.

Leukaemia is a form of blood cancer which takes the lives of 12,000 people every year, equivalent numbers to those who die from breast cancer. The prospect for survival for many adults is still less than 50%. It’s also the most common form of cancer in children, mostly under 5 years old – Cure Leukaemia is striving to reduce these figures.

The cycle challenge forms part of an inspiring drive by  Geoff Thomas, to raise more than £2 Million in two years for Cure Leukaemia. All donations will be gratefully received, no matter how small.
