Vertical Rush 2015 · 3 March 2015 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page in aid of Shelter.
We decided to take on a new challenge when it was first introduced to us via an email from a running organisation. We often run together at lunch times and when we discussed the idea of racing up a skyscraper we decided to embrace the challenge and raise money for Shelter. On Tuesday 3 March at 8:30am we will be climbing up the 932 steps of London's Tower 42.
To help us train for this vertical challenge we will be speeding up the steep hills of the park in Primrose Hill. Not only that but we will also be racing up the emergency exit stairs of Hampstead Underground Station.
Shelter is needed today more than ever. 1.8 million people in England are currently on local authority housing waiting lists. A shocking 1.6 million children in the UK are homeless or live in bad housing – many in temporary accommodation that’s run-down, overcrowded or dangerous. And every two minutes someone faces losing their home.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
