Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Initially I was going to swim 1000m in a nice warm swimming pool.

However to make this more challenging I have now changed this to swimming outdoors in Dorney lake, and I am now swimming a whole mile (about 65 lengths of a full size 25m swimming pool -1609 meters).

This presents quite a challenge to me.  Add to this I have now started training in how to do front crawl (previously I stuck mainly to doing breast stroke as front crawl seemed too hard).  So will attempt to do part of this in front crawl as well (dont think im up to doing 65 lengths yet but have 8 weeks left to train), plus will be wearing a wetsuit as well and doing in open water.

This will all take place on 30th June 2013 at Dorney Lake, and is in aid of a worthy cause - Great Ormond Street Hospital. 

so please help me to get motivated.  I have also set myself a new target of raising £500 as well so please help me to achive this.
