Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

Cancer affects many, many people either directly or indirectly and prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 of the UK male population with men over the age of 50 particularly affected.

My friend Peter Mulqueeney, a keen cyclist, saw this ride advertised to raise money for the fight against prostate cancer and as I had expressed an interest in cycling to improve my fitness and more importantly lose weight we decided that what better way to achieve my aim - raising money for a very worthy cause.

I will be spending the next few months training with Peter ahead of the ride in June and would like anyone that knows me to dig deep and help me reach my target.

As massive fans of Wigan Athletic we will be representing the club on this ride.
