Every two hours, someone in the UK will become paralysed. Globally, it is estimated that 15.4 million people are living with paralysis. At Spinal Research our vision is to create a world where paralysis can be cured, no matter when the injury occurred or where in the world.

Story

My friend's dad broke his neck in a car accident in 2002, and has been wheelchair bound ever since. While he has had some improvement since the initial injury, damage to the spinal cord remains difficult to treat and recovery is often limited. He has since become involved in Spinal Research. This fantastic charity is attempting to develop methods with which to stimulate healing of spinal injury or replace damaged tissue. So, in order to raise funds, 60 of us will be running the Wilmslow Half Marathon in March, so please donate anything you can.
