It is estimated that as many as 15million children die or remain severely ill every year through potentially treatable or preventable cardiac diseases. Chain of Hope exists to provide children from developing countries affected by life-threatening heart disease with the treatment to save their lives

Story

In memory of Harriet, youngest daughter / sister, who died at the age of 20 on 9th August 2003. Harriet was a patient of Dr. Rosemary Radley-Smith at Harefield Hospital, and was operated on by Sir Magdi Yacoub. Since retirement from the NHS, both of these eminent people still give their services to the Chain of Hope which Sir Magdi Yacoub founded in the U.K in 1995. This charity enables treatment and corrective surgery of heart disease in the children of Third World countries.

We donated the large amount of money generously given when Harriet died to this charity. This event gives us an opportunity to generate more funding for this very worthy cause.
