Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I heard about the ride through my friend David Wright, having done a small charity ride together last year, I’m looking forward to a [considerably] more stretching physical challenge.

The opportunity to do some good for a deserving cause is a key motivation - and because the ride is supporting the two other charities in addition to St John’s (St Michael’s Hospice & Matthew Elvidge Trust) I’m especially pleased to be taking part, as I have a lot of respect and affection for the hospice movement, which was very gentle, human and supportive of my Mum in her last weeks with MND.

The goal is not just to finish, but to finish well, to have a good adventure and spend more time on the Tripel than the triple!

About the charity

St John's Church is the parish church in the Hampshire village of Hartley Wintney. In April 2012, the church commenced the building of a new £2.3m Church Centre, which, when completed in June 2013, will provide new facilities for our church and wider community. Please help us to raise the final 20%.
